SOUND HEALING

WHAT IS SOUND HEALING?
Sound healing, also known as sound therapy, is a transformative practice that allows individuals to heal and find balance through the vibrations of various healing instruments. This practice activates the parasympathetic nervous system, leading to relaxation as your heart rate and brain waves slow down. It enables us to expand our consciousness, facilitating the release of trapped emotions and stagnant energy, thereby promoting healing and fostering a sense of calm and balance. Ultimately, sound healing helps us connect with our 'soul self'—the intuitive and grounded essence within us that can be difficult to access in our fast-paced lives.

WHAT IS OUR APPROACH?
Lau has trained with one of the world's leading Gong Practitioners, Sheila Whittaker, and is a qualified Sound Therapist registered with The College of Sound Healing. Our sound healing sessions primarily focus on the gongs, each of which have their own unique frequency and healing properties. Alongside the gongs, we also incorporate a variety of sacred instruments, including the handpan, bowls, bells, chimes, the shruti box, and drums. Additionally, as a registered Arts Psychotherapist (HCPC), Lau ensures that all our sessions provide a safe, healing environment that is trauma-informed, person-centred, and therapeutic in nature.
