Hi! we’re Becca & Lau & we live in Exeter, Devon. We met in 2014 whilst training to become Arts Therapists. After moving down to Devon in 2016, we got married in the beautiful Cornish countryside & in December 2023, we welcomed our first child, Olive Amari Mae, in to the world. In our spare time we love to travel, practice yoga, immerse ourselves in live music & performance, spend time in nature, cuddle our cats & enjoy a simpler, slower life!

With creativity, therapy & spirituality running through both of our paths for many years, we feel blessed to be able to bring all we have learnt & experienced together through the creation of elk&ether. We both come from a theatre background & qualified as Arts Therapists from The University of Derby in 2016. We've also spent many years on our own personal journey with spirituality & yoga, learning to live a life of continuous insight, growth & service. Whilst travelling in India in 2015, we both undertook a 200hr yoga teacher training course as a way to help deepen our own spiritual practice & understanding.  Lau is a qualified Sound Therapist specialising in gongs, having trained under the guidance of one of the world's leading Gong Practitioners, Sheila Whittaker, in 2022 & 2023. Becca is also currently training to become a qualified Cacao Practitioner with Keith's Cacao & we're really looking forward to sharing this healing plant medicine with you all later this year!

Sometimes, making space for ourselves in such a busy world affords us the opportunity to ask what the universe might be teaching us in this moment. Slowing down & going inwards can sometimes be extremely uncomfortable but in doing so, we allow ourselves the opportunity to grow, nurture our inner soul self & eventually find comfort, even in difficult times.
